We'll discuss focus modes (auto, one shot, ai focus, ai servo, single servo, continuous servo, manual), area modes (auto, single point, 3D tracking, dynamic area) and hyperfocal distance/focusing. Regarding depth of field, we'll discuss all the variables that contribute to depth of field, "fast" lenses, dof tables and the depth of field preview button. Homework assignments will reinforce the class concepts. We'll meet up again a few weeks later for a photo review.

DSLR, mirrorless and film cameras are welcome.

Images submitted for the photo review must be straight out of the camera, with absolutely no post-production- including cropping. This will allow me to give accurate feedback. If you shoot in RAW, please convert to JPG. Get a account, upload your photos, then "share" them with me so we can view them in class.

Tuesdays, October 6 and November 3, 6:30-9:30pm, $95
